How to Request a Release in Protected Pay
In this guide, you will learn how to request a Payor to release funds from a Protected Pay transaction.
1. Go to Your Dashboard
Once you have successfully logged in, you will be taken to your dashboard.
2. Protected Pay
From there, navigate to the left-hand panel and click on the Protected Pay Icon.
3. Locate Funded Status
Find any Protected Payment that has a status of Funded.
4. You are the Payee
Confirm you are the Payee for that transaction.
5. See Details
Click on the eyeball icon to see details of the transaction.
6. Click "Request Funds Release"
After you have satisfied all of the conditions listed in the Deliverables section of your Protected Payment, scroll down the page to proceed with the funds release process. Scroll down the page and click Request Funds Release.
7. Confirm Deliverables
Check the box that confirms you have completed all deliverables for this agreement.
8. Generate an Invoice
If you would like LiquidTrust to generate an invoice for you, click the checkbox to request invoice generation.
9. Upload Invoice
Alternatively, if you already have an invoice prepared, upload it directly by dragging and dropping the file into the upload section.
10. Add Additional Notes
If you have any relevant notes or comments for the Payor, provide them in the notes field.
11. Click "Confirm"
Click Confirm and your ayor will receive an email notifying them you have completed all deliverables and are requesting a release of funds
