To ensure security and compliance, LiquidTrust requires you to verify the ownership of any bank account you link as a Payment Method. This one-time check confirms that the account belongs to you or your registered business. This step is essential for protecting your funds and maintaining a secure payment environment for all users.


Step-by-Step Instructions: Uploading Proof

Follow these steps to successfully upload your proof of bank account ownership:

  1. Add Your Payment Method: First, ensure you have added your bank account details within the LiquidTrust platform.
  2. Navigate to Documents: After submitting your Payment Method details, go to SettingsDocuments (accessed via the gear icon in the site navigation).
  3. Select the Payment Methods Tab: Click on the Payment Methods tab to view the verification status of your linked accounts.
  4. Upload Proof of Ownership: Upload one of the acceptable documents listed below that clearly shows both your full account number and the account holder name (the name must exactly match your LiquidTrust profile or registered business entity).

Acceptable Documents for Proof of Ownership

You must upload one of the following documents:

  • Account Statement: The statement must be recent. You may redact or black out transaction data for privacy purposes.
  • Voided Check: A physical check marked clearly with "VOID."
  • Letter from Your Bank: An official letter signed or stamped by your bank that clearly indicates your full account number and the account holder name.

Tips, Notes, or Warnings

  • Matching Names: The name on the bank document must exactly match the name on your LiquidTrust profile or registered business entity. Any mismatch will result in a delay.
