Can I have two businesses with the same login?
How do I create a second business with the same login?
We would encourage you to ensure that each business you create uses the email address designated for that business. However, if you need to create a second business that receives email at the same address as the business you’ve already created, you can do so by creating and using an alias for your current email address.
- Log out of your current business.
- Go back to https://app.liquidtrust.io/welcome to create a new account.
- Enter in the email address field your current email address with a plus to create a distinct value, through an alias or a subaddress. For example, if your email address is
john.smith@gmail.com
, enter injohn.smith+1@gmail.com
. The “+1” value can be anything you like (this works for most email service providers, but not all. See the section below on Subaddressing for more details).
- You’ll receive the emails to continue setting up the account for your second business sent to the original email address. Proceed with completing the required fields.
- Once you have completed the signup process by entering in the data for your second business in all required fields, go to Settings > Team Members and invite your original email address to the second business. Note: You’ll be asked to select a Role, which is set to Manager by default. If you’d like your original email address to have Admin access, select Admin instead from the drop-down.
Find out more about Roles here.
- Log out of your second business before accepting the invitation.
- Click through the button reading Accept Invitation.
- Select Confirm to accept the invitation.
- Your first email address is now a member of your second business.
When you log in, you’ll be asked to confirm which business you would like to view. You can now switch between businesses from your original account by clicking on the initial icon top left of the screen.
